Introducing fresh4life Litter

  1. If you decide to use a litter box liner, spread it over the litter box so that it overhangs the rim on all sides. Press the center of the liner down to the bottom of the box and smooth outward.
  2. Pour 3-4 inches of the fresh4life Clumping Cat Litter formula for your cat into the litter box.
  3. Repeat previous steps to set up additional litter boxes, if you have multiple cats or a senior cat, who requires extra litter accessibility.
  4. Place litter mats under the edges of the sides of the litter box which are not against a wall, to help your cat remove excess litter from between his or her paws and further reduce tracking in your home.
  5. Using your shovel, scoop and discard solid waste daily.
  6. Top-up litter, as required, to keep it at 3-4 inches in depth.
  7. Completely change litter on a regular basis. (Ideally this will be weekly but frequency may vary depending on the number of cats and litter boxes you have.)
  8. When changing litter, replace the liner or thoroughly wash the box with soap and hot water. Avoid using concentrated, strong smelling disinfectants, vinegar, bleach or pine cleaners, which may repel cats.

Cleaning Up Accidents:

  • Clean up accidents on hard surfaces, such as linoleum, hardwood or cement, with a paper towel or soapy mop, rinse with warm water and wipe down with vinegar.
  • Clean up accidents on a carpet by wiping them up with a paper towel and then cleaning the soiled areas on the carpet with a specialized enzyme cleaner for use on pet urine and feces. If a specialized cleaner is not available, use dish detergent mixed with water. Finish by soaking the areas with club soda and blotting it up.
  • Never use ammonia-based cleaners, as the ammonia scent actually attracts cats back to the accident site.
